Remote interpreting – new technologies have now made this possible
Remote interpreting takes place when our interpreters work from their home offices and interpret your meeting or event from afar. You will only need to provide a capable Wi-Fi link plus sound and image transmission – no further technologies or booths etc. will be required on your part. Using remote interpreting software, the meeting or conference participants will then hear the interpretation conveniently through headphones plugged into their mobile phones. This isn't a fantastical scenario snatched from the pages of the Arabian Nights, but cost-saving reality. Please get in touch with us to find out whether this approach could also pay dividends at your next event!

- No technicians need to be employed to operate the system
- Transportation as well as the provision of headphones becomes unnecessary
Good for the environment
- Your interpreters will not need to travel to the event venue
- All participants are free to use their own devices
- Transportation of equipment becomes redundant
- There is no need to disinfect headphones
Important technical prerequisites
A stable and capable Wi-Fi link must be present (5 Mbit/s per participant will suffice), however meeting participants are also at liberty to use the personal mobile data allowances for their smartphone/tablet.
Participants must be informed that they will need to bring their own (fully charged) mobile devices and their own headphones to be able to hear the interpreters.
Microphones: For the best possible sound quality, it is recommended that presenters are provided with headsets fitted with an integral microphone. Room microphones will be required for debates.
An interface between the room audio and video feeds and the video conference software (zoom) on the audio/video technician's laptop must be provided.
