Quality takes time, and translations are no exception
Experience has shown that translation is the last link in a long process chain – and frequently needs to make up for delays that have crept in during the compilation of the source text. On average, a technical translator will be able to complete between 10,000 and 12,000 characters per day, depending on the complexity of the source text. This corresponds to approximately 6 to 8 A4 pages. In principle: The more time you allow for a translation, the higher the quality, since it allows the translator to research more thoroughly, but also edit their work with a fresh outlook after taking a break from the task.
Nevertheless, we are also aware that time is frequently a scarce commodity. That's why we also accept express orders that need to be completed on the same day or outside of normal working hours, during evenings or weekends.
